Why Healthcare Usability - HealthU?

While Startups and established healthcare technology VENDORS are accelerating the digital transformation in the healthcare sector, which COVID-19 has undoubtedly accelerated this process, it is fundamental for the USERS (Clinicians and Patients) and at the same time, more critical for the PAYERS (Governments, Insurance) that their solutions are USABLE and INTEGRATED into the total healthcare eco-system.

Our aim is to bring all the different stakeholders together and bring the Healthcare Usability Concept to the discussion table. The outcome we strive for and what related stakeholder could benefit from is:

• USERS: Simplification. While the entry point for the Clinicians and the Patients is the "User Friendliness" of the devices, our mojo is to make sure that the device output is usable and integrated into the care pathway of the patient. A simple example, from 100% of "health-data" that is collected in today's setting, only 3% is checked and used. Clinicians are spending 20 to 40% of their time behind their HIS/EMR systems to enter-copy information into the systems. We may help to facilitate their efficiency by up to 30%

• VENDORS: Your Success is a combination of multiple factors. Two of these factors have a significant impact on your overall success - the User-friendliness and the Integration into the full care pathway. We call it the USABILITY factor. By working with the "Users" and the Healthcare Providers during the development and testing phase, you will SHORTEN your time to market and be sure that your product and/or solutions will provide Businesses with sustainable growth and added value! As we operate in the APAC region, you can even further accelerate your time to market due to lower entry barriers.

• PROVIDERS: Efficiency and Patient Focus. You are all going through your digital transformation steps. While this is necessary, we are however putting too much technology-overhead onto the clinicians. For example, among the 20-40% of the time spent to enter-copy information into the systems, Nurses have spent 1.5h per shift per day averagely walking between patients and the EMR/HIS. This brings us to the other side of the coin of digitalisation: the current technology setting is creating burn-outs! Our mojo here is to make sure that vendors understand these critical issues and solves them with you! Making sure that technology works for the clinicians so that they have more time for what is essential- Your Patients!

• PAYERS: Lower Cost - Better Outcome. We are convinced that implementing technologies with a high usability factor will contribute to the "health" of the patient and the economy.
